Traffic incident management is a major challenge in the management of movement, requiring constant attention and significant investment, as well as fast and accurate solutions in order to re-establish normal traffic conditions. Automatic control methods are becoming an important factor for the reduction of traffic congestion caused by an arising incident. In this paper, the algorithm of automatic detection incident based on fuzzy logic is implemented in the software PTV VISSIM. 9 different types of tests were conducted on the two lane road section segment with changing traffic conditions: the location of the road accident, loading of traffic. The main conclusion of the research is that the proposed algorithm for the incidents detection demonstrates good performance in the time of detection and false alarm

DEVELOPING INCIDENT DETECTION ALGORITHM BASED ON THE MAMDANI FUZZY INFERENCE ALGORITHM

    Get PDF
Application of fuzzy logic in the incident detection system allows making a decision under uncertainty. The phase of incident detection is a process of finding difficulties in traffic. The difficulty in traffic is the main sign that there was a road accident and requires a reaction for its elimination. This leads to the use of input data that must be relevant to the vehicles and the road. These data must be considered together, and should be compared with the corresponding values for further analysis. The main parameters of the traffic flow, which can characterize its current state, are a flow rate, a volume flow.Necessary to analyze the input data received from the sensors. After processing the input data, using the previously entered fuzzy rules, will be taken action that will improve the situation in traffic or at least not allow it worse

    CONTROLLABLE MODEL OF MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION

    Get PDF
This article discusses the construction of multimodal transportation models based on controlled networks. The developed model is parameterized by statistical data on international motor transportation. It is proposed to implement cargo traffic models through mechanisms of controlled networks. At the same time the flow in the controlled network determines how the transportation of goods comes from the top of the graph (source) to another (drain) on its arcs.Cargo movement around the selected graph arc is performed in accordance with the selected direction. Loads moved from the source to the drain are represented as the units of cargo

In represented article the questions of estimate of accuracy of an average integral characteristics of random process in the course of imitation modeling is considered. For the purposes of analytical treatment of initial stage of modeling a conditionally nonstationary Gaussian process is analyzed as stationary Gaussian process with boundary prehistory. A model of approximant autocorrelation function is recommended. Analytical expression for variance and mathematical expectation of average integral estimation are obtained. Statistical estimation efficiency criterion, the probability of belonging to correct parameter interval is introduced. Dependences of closeness in estimation statistics clearing interval at transient behavior are researched for various types of processes

MODELLING OF DYNAMIC SPEED LIMITS USING THE MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROL

    Get PDF
The article considers the issues of traffic management using intelligent system “Car-Road” (IVHS), which consist of interacting intelligent vehicles (IV) and intelligent roadside controllers. Vehicles are organized in convoy with small distances between them. All vehicles are assumed to be fully automated (throttle control, braking, steering). Proposed approaches for determining speed limits for traffic cars on the motorway using a model predictive control (MPC). The article proposes an approach to dynamic speed limit to minimize the downtime of vehicles in traffic

In this article a statistical analysis of supply volumes of spare parts, components and accessories was carried out, with some persistent patterns and laws of distribution of failures of major components revealed. There are suggested evaluation models of components and assemblies reliability for the formation of order management procedures of spare parts, components and accessories for the maintenance and repair of transport and technological machines. For the purpose of identification of components operational condition there is proposed a model of hidden Markov chain which allows to classify the condition by indirect evidence, based on the collected statistics

ALGORITHMS FOR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT IN THE INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS

Traffic jams interfere with the drivers and cost billions of dollars per year and lead to a substantial increase in fuel consumption. In order to avoid such problems the paper describes the algorithms for traffic management in intelligent transportation system, which collects traffic information in real time and is able to detect and manage congestion on the basis of this information. The results show that the proposed algorithms reduce the average travel time, emissions and fuel consumption. In particular, travel time has decreased by about 23%, the average fuel consumption of 9%, and the average emission of 10%
